Dr. Wallace: My parents are divorced and I live alone with my mother, who is a recovering alcoholic. Mom has been recovering for more than a year. That’s when she decided to stop drinking and enrolled in Alcoholics Anonymous. She did this because I had been attending Alateen, a group where teens learn how to cope with parents who are alcoholics.
